Product Development
Product development projects conducted by our staff scientists employ traditional statistical techniques. Formulations for various coatings or adhesives are developed using a DOE (Design of Experiments) approach to quickly map their performance window. After lab scale development and testing, products can be trial produced on commercial-scale coating equipment at our Pilot Coating and Product Development facility to insure that products not only meet physical test requirements, but are also commercially scalable.
We routinely develop and test coated products based on various technologies such as solvent, emulsion, hot melt, and 100% solids systems. Chemistries include: silicone polymers / release agents, heat seals / heat-activated adhesives, acrylic copolymers, block copolymers of styrene-butadiene, styrene-isoprene, (SBS, SIS, SEBS), epoxies, specialty inks, and topcoats. We develop products for use as labels, tapes and laminates for applications in numerous markets.

We conduct market research studies customized to meet your needs and focused on your product line or application. Education and Training
Chemsultants International provides a complete series of Technical Workshops that include classroom lecture and hands-on demonstrations. We offer distinct areas of training including: Introduction to Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Technology, Laboratory Technician Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Testing Certification, Introduction to PSA Tapes and PSTC Test Methods, and Introduction to Liquid Adhesives and Sealants. Our training facility is equipped with a state of the art classroom and a fully functional equipment testing laboratory. Classes are offered at various times throughout the year. Quality Systems Management
We actively work in all phases of a product’s life and as a result have extensive and broad capability to recommend quality control and assurance programs. We can develop and recommend appropriate tests, protocols and statistical techniques to keep your product or process in control. We work to ISO 17025 standards as an A2LA accredited lab.
Consulting
Chemsultants professional staff routinely provides consulting services in a wide variety of areas including product performance issues, problem solving, new product idea brainstorming, web coating issues, market or product opportunity analysis and many more. Consulting services are provided on an hourly or daily rate basis, and may be scheduled at the Chemsultants facility or at the customers location.
Expert Witness
We are experienced in providing laboratory analysis of products for failure determination, and are able to provide third party opinion in the case of dispute resolution or testimony in the case of legal proceedings.
