Hot Melt Coater

The ChemInstruments Hot Melt Coater produces samples of hot melt adhesives for a thorough evaluation. The Hot Melt Coater is designed to permit maximum flexibility in hot melt formulations. Lab production of a large quantity of consistent samples for comprehensive evaluation is simplified by several construction features of the Laboratory Hot Melt Coater:

The reservoir maintains temperatures up to 400° F (204° C) and can melt solids or use pre-melted material.
Easy gauge adjustment permits quick production of coated samples from less than 25 grams/square meter to 1500 grams/square meter. Feeler gauges are included for accurate coating thickness.
Three 500 watt heating rods provide even temperature in the reservoir and the coating bars to maintain flow properties.
Reservoir temperature is easily set or reproduced using the digital controller.
Two precision ground stainless steel coating bars produce even cross web coat weight.
12" (30cm) wide samples of unlimited length can be produced.
Standard features are an unwind stand, base plate and feeler gauges.
HLC-101 features three controllers with each element having its own thermocouple.
Coater reservoir capacity up to 125 grams.
