Rolldown Machines

The ChemInstruments RD-3000 and RD-1000 Rolldown machines ensure that test samples are prepared with a constant pressure and laminating speed. The RD-3000 reduces sample preparation time by accommodating three panels at one time. The RD-1000 is designed to prepare one panel at a time.
Both machines meet the following requirements of PSTC Appendage B, Section 2.7 and ASTM D 3330 Section 5.4:

4.5 lb. (2 Kg) Shore A scale 80 durometer rubber covered roll.

Roll is 1.75" (4.5cm) wide and 3.75" (9.5cm) in diameter.

Operating temperature 0° - 70° Celsius

Selectable speeds include:

Standard laminating speed–12ipm (30cm/m).

NEW Harmonized speed–24ipm (61cm/m).

Warning! Equipment needs to be completely free of condensation inside and out, before applying power!
The RD-3000 and RD-1000 have several built-in features which permit quick adjustments for custom test requirements:

Accepts test panels up to 2" x 8" (5cm x 20cm).

Adjustable stroke length.
-
Capable of programming up to 9 repeat cycles or continuous cycling.

Displays cycle that is currently running.
-
Displays “F” when the cycles are finished.
