Room Temperature 10 Bank Shear

The ChemInstruments S-RT-10, Room Temperature 10 Bank Shear Tester, is designed to perform room temperature shear tests according to PSTC-7 Procedure A, TLMI Test No. 7, and ASTM D 3654, Procedure A for Holding Power of Pressure Sensitive Tapes. It can also be used for PSTC-14, Adhesion of Pressure Sensitive Tape to Fiberboard at 90° Angle and Constant Stress, and PSTC-7 Procedure B.

The S-RT-10 has several features that make it easy to use as well as reliable:

Mechanical switches can be calibrated to trip when using weights from 100 to 1000 grams.
Adjustable feet allow the user to level the testing plane.
Easy to read 0.5" (1cm) LCD timer display is set to time in increments of 1/10 of a minute.
Uses standard 2" x 3" (5cm x 7.5cm) stainless steel test panels as specified in PSTC test methods.
Adjustable angle panel rack allows user to quickly switch test angle from 178° to 90°.
Foam covered weight landing platforms absorb impact of falling weight.
Grey painted steel uni-body construction is built to last.
Painted steel face plate will not rust or corrode.
Self contained power supply.
