High Temperature 8 Bank Shear

The ChemInstruments S-HT-8 High Temperature 8 Bank Shear Tester is designed to perform high temperature shear tests. PSTC-7 Procedure A & C, TLMI Test No. 7, FINAT test No. 8, and ASTM D 3654. Procedure C for Holding Power of Pressure Sensitive Tapes are able to be performed on S-HT-8. The standard model has switches that can withstand temperatures up to 400° F (204° C). Additionally, the S-HT-8 High Temperature 8 Bank Shear Tester can perform shear tests in humidity chambers or freezers.

The S-HT-8 has several features that make it easy to use as well as reliable:

Mechanical switches can be calibrated to trip when using weights from 100 to 1000 grams.
Easy to read 0.5" (1cm) LCD timer display is set to time in increments of 1/10 of a minute.
Adjustable feet allow the user to level the testing plane.
Uses standard 2" x 3" (5cm x 7.5cm) stainless steel test panels as specified in PSTC test methods.

The S-HT-8 has additional features that make it very versatile:

Removable panel racks help to avoid wide temperature swings.
Adjustable angle panel rack allows user to quickly switch test angle from 178° to 90°.
Clock box, connected to oven unit with a 6' (2m) long high temperature cord, can be placed on top of or next to oven.
Self contained power supply.

Accessories essential for testing: TP-23 test panel, TW-500 or TW-1000 test weight, and STC-100 shear test weight suspension clip.
